Do you have a question regarding our services?

At njb we pride ourselves on being customer focused and "what's best for the customer is best for the business" we are continually evolving and always appreciate customer feedback.

We have listed below the most common questions we are asked regarding our services at the initial enquiry stage.

Are you Insured

Yes, we have Public Liability Insurance which covers us up to £10 Million, and you can download our current certificate Here

Do you have PAT

Yes, all our equipment is PAT certified. PAT is a an acronym for Portable Appliance Testing, although not a legal requirement more and more venues are insisting that entertainment suppliers have a valid test certificate. You can download our current certificate Here

DJ Attire

Our DJs will dress appropriately for the occasion, please stipulate on our booking form if you have a preference to how you wish our DJ to dress.

What happens if I cancel

Please notify us at once if there is a cancellation. The booking fee is non-refundable, If you cancel within 14 days of the event you will be liable for 50% of the remaining balance, if you move the date we will honour the booking subject to our availability.

Do you require a deposit

A signed contract with a 30% booking fee will act as your deposit and gaurantee your event date.

Extra Hours

We are more than happy to extend the agreed finish time of your event. The charge would be £40 per hour or part thereof. This additional fee must be paid to the DJ in cash before any extra time commences.

Subject to Venue Management Agreement.

Have you a backup plan

We carry spares for all our equipment, we have TWO large vans in case of mechanical breakdown and a standby DJ should your allocated DJ fall ill.

As a further safeguard being members of the Mobile DJ Network we can also call upon the services of a fellow member should the need arise.

In over 40 years we have never let a client down.

How long will you need to setup

If its a party disco setup no more than 90mins.

Larger events will require more planning/staff and could take up-to several days.

We will provide an accurate time frame once we know the full extent of the work involved.

You can rest assured we will allocate enough time and resources so that every thing is ready to go well before your guests are due to arrive.

How much do you charge

Our charges are calculated based on:-

› Size of Venue

› Location of Venue

› Duration of Event

› Travel Costs

Plus the extent of the equipment needed to provide you with a quality service.

As a guide, our prices start from:-

Children’s day time Parties £120

Evening Adult Parties £180

18th Party, Club Style Lighting £250

How loud will it be

We always honour host requests to raise or lower volume as needed, our professional equipment is leading edge and even at high volume the sound will never be distorted.

Will you play my music

During the booking process you can tell us exactly what type of music you would like us to play/not play.

A Play-list containing around 20-30 songs will help the DJ select appropriate music for the entire evening.

Guests' requests will be played provided they don’t feature on the hosts "Do Not Play List"

Do you provide lights

Yes, every event will have some form of effect lighting,we have a large variety of lights at our disposal including:

• Moving Heads with Gobos
• Strobes
• LED Flood
• LED Spots
• LED Mirror Balls
• LED Up-Lighting
• Lasers

We use LED lighting which is of a professional grade,high powered with a light output that surpasses the old halogen disco lights.

If you have no clear-cut requirement in regards to lighting then we will supply fixtures suitable for the type of event and venue.

We have a full DMX setup enabling colour and speed control of all our lighting.
